Donor Eligibility
Almost anyone can become a whole-body donor, and there are no maximum age restrictions. People with diseases and illness can become a donor. In addition to healthy donors, the medical research community needs donors with diseases and illness to study in order to continue to develop medical breakthroughs.
Exclusions:
There are some exclusions on becoming a whole-body donor. These are:
- Covid-19 positive test
- Human Immunodeficiency virus (HIV 1 & HIV 2)
- Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS)
- Hepatitis B or C
- Syphilis
- Active Tuberculosis (TB)
- Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD)
- Morbid obesity at time of passing
